Having a history of seven generations since 1850, J. Beaujeau has about 100 hectares vineyards in Anjou and 32 hectares vineyards in saumur champingny, 80% of its output are sold in France. The owner of the company, an old lady less than sixty year old, is an offspring of the royal family. Her ancestors could be traced back to 1320. With her natural and graceful bearing, she speaks classical French unhurriedly, looks like an arrogant old lady. While the same person, no matter in the morning, noon or in the evening, directs her employees to pick the grapes up and inspecting them in person in the vineyards in order to guarantee that each grape picked is in accurate time with best quality for vinification, which reflects her respect and passion for wine. While all these could not be done without her husband, a prominent, wise and creative winemaker, who made a figure by winning the gold medal in local wine championship when he was only sixteen. Gradually, he became a renowned local winemaker with his persistence and concept by vinifying wine full of characteristics. And he is the pride of his wife. The couple, with their confidence, pride and simple attitude blended with the land, has brought us with series good wines.
