這是一個5代歷史擁有40公頃教皇新堡產區葡萄園的莊園，主要土壤結構為大片大塊鵝卵石，葡萄藤平均年齡70年，最老葡萄藤種植于1892年。教皇新堡在整個羅納河谷是最為出名的產區，其起源于中世紀歐洲，由于歐洲大瘟疫，羅馬教皇避難來到此地，居住了100多年，教皇要喝酒，于是選擇了這片土地種植，由此得名。而教皇新堡產區葡萄園大多在山坡頂部，由于古地質此處為海底故土壤全是大塊鵝卵石，而葡萄園朝向向南，且面對羅納河，正是這樣的地質條件，造就了教皇新堡的傳奇。

With a history of five generations, this chateau covers an area of 40 hectares vineyard in Tresor des Papes. Its soil is composed mainly of big cobblestones, and the average age of grape vine is 70 years old, the oldest one was planted in 1892. Tesor des Papes, originated in middle ages Europe, is the most famous producing area in valle du Rhone. The Roman Pope came here to take refugee from the grand plague in Europe and stayed for over one hundred years. To drink wine, the Pope chose this land for plantation, here comes the name of the area. And most of the vineyards in Pope New Fortress stand on the top of the hills, facing southward, to the Rhone River. In ancient times, this land is the bed of the ocean. Now the soil is composed of big cobblestones. No other than the unique conditions of those vineyards bring up the legend of  CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE.
