It is the third biggest export Group in Chile. Incidentally we knew each other in Shanghai through a commercial promotion company. I met their chief representative for Asian market and was much interested in their wine after tasting the sample wines. By communicating with him, I began to know this chateau. The enthusiasm and free style of South Americans highly appealed to me. Their wine embodies different styles and spirits.Ventisquero first began production in 1998 and is currently managed by a youthful, creative and entrepreneurial team. Faithful to our slogan of going “A Step Beyond,” we make high-quality wines in a modern and cutting-edge style. We find ways to communicate our message in a manner that is both heartfelt and distinctive. Instrumental in the construction of our new winery in the Maipo Coast in 2000 was Chief Enologist Felipe Tosso. This was the valley from where our first grapes were harvested and made into wine. Three years later, we ventured into the Casablanca Valley and the famous valley of Apalta, recognized today as the birthplace of Ventisquero’s most celebrated wines. With estate vineyards located in Chile’s best winegrowing regions – the Maipo Coast, Casablanca and Colchagua – and rigorous research aimed at understanding terroir, our mission is to consistently deliver the finest quality in our wines.
